Requirements for Initial Pharmacist Licensure for Foreign Pharmacists

 *Applicant must contact NABP for a review of their credentials.

 

*Applicant must complete the entire FPGEC (a passing grade of the FPGEE, the TSE and the TOFEL) to receive their FPGEC certificate from NABP.

 

*Complete the Pharmacist Intern Application and submit to the Board along with a copy of the FPGEC certificate and payment of $25. Checks made payable to 'Kentucky State Treasurer'. 

 

*Completion of 1500 internship hours.

 


 

You should receive an email from Pearson Vue to shedule your exam.Exam scores for both the NAPLEX and the MPJE for Kentucky are available at the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy website, www.nabp.net

 


*Applicants for initial licensure as a pharmacist shall submit to a query to the National Practitioner Data Bank of the United States Department of Health and Human Services pursuant to 201 KAR 2:020 Section 6(1).  This query will be submitted by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy. There is a fee of $25 for this query. Make checks payable to 'Kentucky State Treasurer'.

  
*Criminal Background Check via IDENTOGO
  • Must pre-enroll online at https:/uenroll.identogo.com/ for Livescan or Cardscan Processing for a $51.25 fee. Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Code 27GJX1
  • Livescan is recommended for In State applicants as there are less rejections, quicker processing and tracking.  
  • If your fingerprint submission is rejected, the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy will notify you. You will then follow the same process for resubmission of your fingerprints.
